Marketing Manager

 

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

 

The Marketing Manager’s role is to support sales in achieving all performance objectives by overseeing the following marketing activities for Branson: Direct Vendors, Special Events, and Local Lead generation.  The Marketing Manager will assist with the Arkansas Call Center as well as all Lead Generation and Road Shows for all Spinnaker Resorts locations.  Additionally, recruit, train and provide leadership to all marketing managers and staff members while developing and maintaining relationships with brokers, merchants, vendors, community leaders and corporate marketing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • DIRECT VENDORS- BRANSONMini-Vacation Tours/Day Drive/Local Promotions
          • Work closely with marketing managers at other Spinnaker properties to generate mini-vacation and dated tours from outside telemarketing, direct mail, local promotions, and web-based tour companies.
          • Establish solid relationships with outside vendors.
          • Monitor tour volume, tour costs, show rates, VPG and constantly search for methods to improve the same.
          • Provide weekly tour and show rate results to vendors.

       

      SPECIAL EVENTS- BRANSON

        • Manage all marketing representatives responsible for generating tours
        • Work closely with Sr. Marketing Manager to acquire new locations, hire new employees and improve the program.
        • Work closely with the main-line sales manager to plan and implement new strategies and operating procedures.
        • Monitor tour volume, tour costs, show rates, VPG and constantly search for methods to improve the same.

       

      ROADSHOWS-ALL SPINNAKER LOCATIONS

        • Manage Road Show Marketing employees that are booking tours
        • Find location of events based on lead counts and desirable areas for sales
        • Find hotels or locations for road shows and book events
        • Manage marketers meeting desired tour targets and goals
        • Track stats and costs on all aspects of events

       

      LEAD GENERATION-ALL SPINNAKER LOCATIONS

        • Work closely with local marketing manager at each sales site to increase local lead generation.
        • Work closely with regional tradeshow manager to produce budgeted lead generation quotas.
        • Create new procedures and promotions for lead generation.
        • Maintain consistent lead generation programs for all locations

      CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT-BRANSON

    • Manage customer service employees responsible for all daily incoming phone calls, customer service issues, etc
    • Manage the inflow of calls and ensure that are customer service satisfaction levels are maintain at a high level for all 3 Branson resorts

     

    MANAGE SALES CENTER SUPPORT STAFF-BRANSON

    • Manage Support Staff employees, including Shuttle driver, Child Care Attendant, and Refreshment Staff. 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to supervise and train staff, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
  • Ability to develop and implement marketing procedures and protocols
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to effectively deal with people and situations
  • Knowledge of marketing practices and conventions
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Knowledge of marketing media and funding sources
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment

  • General knowledge of vacation ownership concepts
  • Knowledge of available gift options (certificates, restaurant vouchers, etc.)

  • Computer skills to include Microsoft Office

 

OPTIONAL SKILLS A PLUS

  • Knowledge of Spinnaker Resorts and/or the timeshare industry is desired.
  • Prior experience in Sales preferred.
