JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
This role is responsible for maintaining the laundry for guest in a highly presentable “Gold Crown” Standard at our Resort. This includes sorting, washing, drying and packaging all linens.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sorts washes, dries, and packages all linens.
- Cleans and maintains all laundry equipment.
- Cleans the Housekeeping/Laundry areas.
- Assists the Laundry Supervisor with daily tasks.
- Assists with cleaning contractors.
- Performs service requests as needed.
- Provides backup support to others, special projects as requested, and/or any legitimate business task within the scope of responsibilities.
- Ensures that all safety rules are observed by Housekeeping/Laundry staff.
- Practices and encourages the proper safety procedures for equipment & chemical use.
- Practices and encourages the proper safety procedures for physical exertion that involves bending, lifting, and climbing.
- Must know the tornado, fire, and disaster procedures and help coordinate evacuation efforts if necessary.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- General knowledge in laundry procedures and operations.
- Good verbal and written communications skills (including ability to understand English) for interaction with employees and guests, using tact and poise.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
OPTIONAL SKILLS A PLUS
- Possess at least 1 + years of trade experience in a related or applicable field.
- Prior Resort, Hospitality and/or Timeshare industry experience.
