Autumn in Williamsburg is a truly magical time. As the long, warm days of summer give way to shorter, cooler evenings, the season brings a refreshing change. At King’s Creek, we are excited for the fall and have been busy preparing our villas and grounds over the summer and have some exciting projects planned.

As fall arrives in Williamsburg, experience the area's stunning beauty and crisp, refreshing air. From colorful foliage to cool breezes, enjoy the enchanting transformation of the season into an autumn retreat. We’ve curated a list of activities to enhance your fall getaway and enjoy the seasonal charm of this historic sanctuary.
Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch
From October 1st through November 30th, 2024, bring the family to Berkeley Plantation to experience the charm of autumn. Explore the colorful gardens, river shore, and exhibits. Enjoy picking a pumpkin and navigating the corn maze, which is included in Berkeley’s regular tour admission; however, there is an additional fee for taking home a pumpkin. Children can join in on scavenger and nature hunts. Picnic tables are available, or you can bring a blanket to enjoy a picnic by the river shore. |

Haunted Williamsburg Tours
Experience eerie 18th-century colonial ghost stories and modern-day encounters on this unique walking ghost tour of Colonial Williamsburg. Led by costumed storytellers, this one-hour candlelit tour, starting at the Market House, is the only tour that takes you inside historic buildings and is suitable for ages eight and older. Haunted Williamsburg is the official ghost tour of Colonial Williamsburg. |

Free Entrance in the National Parks
On November 11th, 2024, enjoy free admission to all National Park Service sites that usually charge an entrance fee in honor of Veteran's Day. Explore Yorktown Battlefield and Historic Jamestown at no cost and experience the national parks at your leisure.
Yorktown Wine Festival
Experience a global wine journey at the grand tasting event on October 5th, 2024. Sample top Virginia wines, enjoy Rieslings and Gewürztraminers from Germany, and savor authentic French champagne. Plus, explore craft beers, local food, live music, and Virginia spirits from local distilleries. |

Join us every Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. in the Activities Department for our Hot Chocolate Social! Enjoy a warm cup of hot chocolate paired with graham crackers and marshmallows, all while mingling with fellow guests.
Movie Night
Experience the fun of Movie Night in the Activities Department all through October! We’ll be showcasing a series of Halloween movies, complete with complimentary popcorn and a beverage. It’s the perfect way to enjoy a festive evening.
S'mores Social
Enjoy a delightful S'mores Social every Thursday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. by the fire pit. We’ll provide all the ingredients for classic S’mores and a variety of refreshments to make your fall afternoons cozy and sweet. |
