Dear Spinnaker Owners,
It’s been wonderful to see so many returning owners, friends and familiar faces over the past few months! With the lovely temperatures returning this spring, we truly hope to see more of you at one of the beautiful Spinnaker properties that many of you refer to as your “home away from home”!
The Spinnaker Teams are also thrilled to receive support and positive feedback of recent improvements, we love to hear your opinions, so please keep it coming and thank you. I would also like to express our appreciation for your support during these difficult times of the pandemic. Teams at each resort are making every effort to provide a safe and healthy resort environment and we sincerely thank you for supporting these efforts. Together we can make your vacation experience most enjoyable and more importantly, continue for many years to come.

Meet Your New General Managers:

George Hartman is the General Manager of Waterside Resort. George has over 20 years of hospitality industry experience, with brands such as Marriott, Hilton and Sonesta. George specializes in customer service, creating relationships and building inspired teams who share his passion for making people happy. While being a huge fan of all sports and outdoor activities, his wife and their three children are diehard fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Georgia Bulldogs. George looks forward to meeting as many of our Owners as possible throughout the upcoming year and more to come.

Justin Jachimowicz is the General Manager of The Bluewater Resort & Marina. Justin has been working in the hospitality industry for over 18 years. After receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management he has worked at properties under Marriott, IHG, Hyatt, Radisson, and Hilton. He truly enjoys providing a fun, memorable and relaxing experience for all of our guests. Justin is originally from Buffalo, New York and is a huge Bills fan. He also loves to golf in his spare time. When Justin is not golfing, he is at home as proud father of 2 young girls. He is looking forward to providing the utmost in guest experience at the Bluewater Resort and Marina for years to come!

Curtis Cole is the General Manager of The Shipyard Properties, (Carolina Club, Cottages, Egret Point and Southwind) as well as the S.R Hotel. With more than 30 years of hospitality experience, he has been managing hotel and timeshare resorts for almost 25 years. His goals for his Team are to help improve the Owner Experience on every level and to provide all our guests with a memorable, enjoyable experience that will leave them looking forward to coming back again. In his spare time, Curtis likes to spend time with his wife and children and playing with his two dogs. He enjoys working out in his home gym and on his Peloton. He is also an avid reader and loves to continually learn new things.

Who is ready to watch golf professionals, play? The RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing invites you to attend the event from April 12 - 18. With limited spectators there is still a number of tickets available to the public. Be among the lucky few fans watching one of golf's most renowned tournaments live at the legendary Harbour Town Golf Links.

The Lowcountry Celebration Park opened in December of 2020. Now that spring has sprung add this place to your itinerary. The park is situated on a 10-acre site off Pope Avenue near the Coligny Beach parking lot. The park has several recreational activities, amenities, and scenic views for families and individuals, organizations and community groups. Don’t forget to bring your camera!

This past winter, Spinnaker Resorts announced that it has begun working with a local company, Carolina Sanitizing, to apply antimicrobial coating technology to the check-in areas and Sales Centers at Bluewater Resort, Waterside Resort and SR Hotel on Hilton Head Island. This antimicrobial coating has been applied to all high-touch surfaces to stop the growth of disease-causing microorganisms and help protect these surfaces from cross contamination.
Carolina Sanitizing applied MicroShield 360, a two-step antimicrobial coating system that kills a broad spectrum of pathogens and viruses, including SARS CoV-2 (the specific coronavirus that causes COVID-19), and continues to protect against cross contamination along with preventing the growth of bacteria, mold, and odors on surfaces.
MicroShield 360 is EPA Approved on thousands of surfaces and FDA Approved safe for food surfaces. The coating is odorless, colorless, and hypo allergenic as it works every second of every day as an extra layer of protection between standard cleanings. This coating protects surfaces from harmful disease-causing microbes, but also increase the surface’s durability, appearance, and corrosion resistance for a cleaner and safer environment.

FEATURED RESORT IMPROVEMENTS

The teams have been busy this winter working on projects that require significant time and focus. This winter all Hilton Head Island properties underwent checks on all fire safety systems and moved forward with important upgrades to the Bluewater, Egret Point, Southwind, and Waterside resort systems. This time of year, much work and detail are applied to the villa maintenance and housekeeping areas ensuring all villas are in good condition for your next arrival.

- Annual fire sprinkler and back flow inspections and testing completed
- The Bluewater indoor pool reopened utilizing our sign-up program to ensure proper social distancing and limiting crowd size
- Wi-Fi upgrades include increased bandwidth, improved connectivity and independent access points were installed for each villa
- 6400 interior villa painting completed
- Installed new Onity key reader at gate to allow guest entry with room keys
- Installed new bedside charging stations in all master bedrooms

Don’t wait…Double Rewards ends March 31! This is your opportunity to earn twice the Spinnaker Rewards Credits for each referral you submit. Just think, if one referral tours and purchases you can use the credits towards a vacation or offset your HOA Fees.
